The River Arts District is an extremely dense, mixed-media district that has evolved over the last ten years from abandoned industrial warehouses that have been converted into artist studios. You name your medium, you will find someone who works with it. Perfectly located about two miles from the hostel, just a $1 bus ride away.
Thrift Store Mania
Within a ten mile radius, in my head I can count TEN Goodwill stores!
That's not to mention the countless others scattered around the city, two of which are less than a five minute walk from the hostel!

With the Smoky Mountains to our West, Pisgah National Forest to our South, and Mount Mitchell to our North, you have endless options when it comes to hiking.
