Hiking

Graveyard Fields

Picture
Graveyard Fields is your quickest avenue to see two majestic waterfalls and get a good hike in.

It's name comes from the stumps of trees that were left over after they were cut down. They were said  to look like tombstones, though they are no longer there.

The benefit of hiking Graveyard fields is that it's 3.2 mile loop with a waterfall at each end. In between the waterfalls you will encounter a variety of terrain ranging from woods to open fields to rhododendron thickets. For more detail click: Graveyard Fields

Music & Brews

The Admiral Dance Party

Picture
This is the place to be on a Saturday night in West Asheville.

By day it's the queen supreme of cuisine. By night it turns into a dive bar with a dj spinning records from the fifties and sixties. Get there by 11pm or expect to wait. It's hip, it's small, and it's fun.

Jack Of The Wood

Almost every day of the week, you are guaranteed to find live music at Jack Of The Wood.
